Type 1, Type 2 & Type 3 Septic Installation Work

Treatment type and field layout are different pieces of a septic design. Send the actual plan when asking Tim about excavation and installation work within 50 km of Prince George.

EXCAVATOR-BASED WORK · NO TANK PUMPING

Start with the plan, rather than the label

Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 refer to treatment categories. Gravity flow, pressure distribution, chambers and sand mounds describe other characteristics. The treatment label alone does not specify every component or the construction work.

A system may need a particular treatment unit alongside buried tanks, piping and a dispersal area. The complete design and material specification are more useful for quoting than the type number on its own.

Tim’s excavation and installation role

Tim can discuss the excavator work for Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 projects. Identify the tank locations, field footprint, buried connections, machine access and required sequence.

Treatment-equipment maintenance, pump service, alarms and electrical work need their own provider. This page does not offer routine equipment servicing or claim that Tim is the designer or certifying person.

What to upload for a quote

  • The completed design and site plan, including revision information.
  • The system specification and any assessment already available.
  • The intended property location and access route.
  • The work arranged with the designer, equipment supplier or other trades.
  • Your proposed timing and the final surface finish you expect.

Ask about the complete scope

Confirm who provides assessment, design, required documentation, materials, installation, testing and ongoing equipment service. Tim’s estimate should identify his work and any exclusions. A quote for excavation should not be assumed to cover every professional responsibility or trade on the project.

A FEW PRACTICAL ANSWERS

Before the digging starts.

Can I send a completed design for a quote?

Yes. Use the contact form to upload your design, site plan and access photos. Tim receives the files with your enquiry and can discuss the installation scope.

Who handles the design and approvals?

The required assessment, design and documentation need the appropriate qualified person. Confirm those responsibilities and the installation scope with Tim; these pages do not claim a particular certification or include design automatically.
