How is the 50 km septic service radius measured?
The radius is measured in a straight line from an approximate Prince George city centre, not as 50 km of road travel. Community pages use official BC geographical names and Regional District or City-recognized residential areas. Named points establish the area coverage; the actual property location still needs checking.
Summit Lake, Newlands and Woodpecker have representative points within the radius. Aleza Lake, Hixon, Upper Fraser, Bear Lake and Cluculz Lake have representative points outside it and are not advertised as covered communities. Properties near the boundary are checked individually.
Does every property in these communities have private septic?
No. Establish the connection at your address. The Regional District operates community sewer systems in West Lake, Tabor Lake, Buckhorn and Bendixon Road service areas. Prince George also has a municipal sanitary sewer network. A community water supply does not establish a sewer connection.
For a private system, Tim can discuss new installation, tank or field replacement, buried pipe repair and other excavator work. Pumping, routine pump and alarm service, electrical work and line clearing need other providers.
What information helps Tim quote an excavation job?
- Your property road or address and the usable machine approach.
- The current design, existing system records or findings identifying the repair.
- Photos of gates, turns, buildings, existing services and the work area.
- Material delivery, spoil handling and surface reinstatement to include.
- Your timing and any pumping, design or trade work arranged separately.
Community coverage checked October 23, 2026 using BC geographical names and the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George. These pages cover recognized communities, localities and residential lake areas; they do not represent separate Northern Septics offices. Historical Island Cache and legal reserve or cemetery parcels are not treated as additional residential service pages.
