Identify the box and the actual problem
Send the system drawing and the findings that point to the distribution box or a connected pipe. A wet field or backup alone does not establish that the box needs replacement.
The number of connections, elevations, material and relationship to the existing field matter to the repair. A replacement should suit the system requirements rather than be selected only by appearance.
Scope the excavation and replacement
- The known location and depth of the buried box.
- Access for the excavator and protection of connected field areas.
- Confirmed damage, settlement or affected pipe connections.
- The specified replacement component and alignment requirements.
- Backfill, testing responsibilities and final ground finish.
Distribution box replacement costs
Price depends on access, depth, excavation limits, the component and the connections being repaired. A quote to expose a box is different from one that includes replacement materials and connected piping. Tim can review the records and agree a scope before quoting.
Ask the estimate to identify mobilisation, materials, removal, reinstatement and applicable GST. No generic parts price should be treated as the complete installed cost.
Keep routine maintenance separate
Northern Septics focuses on work that calls for the excavator. Routine cleaning, pumping, treatment equipment and electrical service are not included by implication. Explain the buried work needed so Tim can confirm the project and timing.
